The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1465 Blair Loop Rd on Monday October the fifth at 02:46 am. Response included three engines, one Ladder truck, a command unit and a safety officer. Upon arrival firefighters found a residential structure with fire and smoke showing from the front window of the house.. Crews made entry into the structure for a interior attack to contain the fire and extinguish. There were two occupants at home when the fire started and both were outside and safe when crews arrived on scene. The occupants were displaced and arrangements for shelter were provided for by the Red Cross. The structure received extensive damage and is uninhabitable. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Fire Marshall's office.
