The Danville Fire Department responded to 172 Westminster Ct this morning at 6:15am for a report of a structure fire. Units arrived on scene to find heavy smoke coming from the attic of a house. 4 engines, 1 Ladder truck, a command unit and 2 support vehicle responded with 18 personnel. Upon arrival units found heavy smoke and some fire showing from the attic of a two story residential structure. Crews were able to quickly confirm that everyone was out of the structure and made an interior attack on the fire. They were able to bring the fire under control in about 30 mins.The attic of the structure received extensive fire damage with the rest of the structure receiving moderate smoke damage. There were no injuries and one occupant was displaced and is staying with family. The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical in nature.
