The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 348 Juless St. The call was dispatched at 00:50 hrs this morning. Units responding included three engines, one ladder truck, a safety officer and a chief officer. First arriving units reported fire and smoke showing from the rear of the structure. Crews pulled hand-lines and entered the structure for fire attack while a second crew searched for victims. A victim was located and removed from the structure and resuscitation efforts were started on scene. The victim was transported to Danville Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Fire and smoke damage to the structure was extensive. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
