the DFD responded to 117 Apartment I Pleasant View Drive this morning shortly after 8 am. When the units arrived they found smoke coming from the eaves of the apartment building. On entering the building the fire was found in a utility room of an upstairs apartment and was quickly extinguished. The fire caused moderate damage to the apartment and displaced an adult and a child. Other residents were allowed back into their apartments about 9:30 with the Red Cross providing assistance to the displaced individual and child. No injuries were reported and the DFD remained on scene for about an hour and a half.
