Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 201 Parkland Dr. at approximately 1 pm. Upon arrival crews found a residential structure with smoke showing from the outside. They were met in the front yard by occupants who advised that everyone was outside and accounted for. Crews made entry and located a fire on the kitchen stove extending to the kitchen cabinets. Crews extinguished the fire and checked for extension. The structure received moderate fire damage to the kitchen and smoke damage throughout the house.The cause of the fire was determined to be unattended cooking. Two people were displaced and will be staying with family. Danville Fire Department responded three engines, one ladder truck, one safety officer and a chief officer. Units were on scene for approximately one hour. No injuries were reported.
