The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 403 S. Woodberry Ave. at a 9:17 pm. Upon arrival crews found a single story residential structure with heavy smoke showing from the door. One crew entered the structure to attack a fire that was located in the kitchen while two additional crews searched the main floor and the basement of the structure. The dog was located and given oxygen and appeared to be doing well. The kitchen received moderate fire damage with the rest of the structure receiving smoke damage. Three engines, one ladder, a safety officer and a Chief officer were on scene for an hour and a half. The cause of the fire is under investigation but does not appear to be intentional.
