The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported vehicle fire at 122 Rosedale Ct. this evening at 6:13 pm. Crews responded and noticed heavy smoke in the area and arrived at 6:18 to find a vehicle heavily involved in the driveway with fire extension into the home. The homeowner was out of the home upon arrival. Fire crews immediately began controlling the fire and entered the home to check for any other occupants. Additional fire apparatus was called to the scene to assist the initial crews.
The Danville Fire Department responded with four engines, one ladder truck, one command unit, one support unit, and one fire marshal. Twenty personnel were on the scene for approximately two hours, thirty minutes. The Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Electric Dept., Danville Water and Gas Dept., and Danville Police Dept. assisted on scene. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Fire Marshal. The Red Cross was also in contact with the homeowner for assistance. No injuries were reported to fire personnel.
