The Danville Fire Department Responded to a reported structure fire at 105 Sedgefield Court. Upon arrival units found a two story, six unit apartment complex with heavy fire showing from the front. Firefighters were able to confirm that the occupants from the fire apartment were out and they also evacuated the remaining occupants. An interior attack was conducted, confining the fire to the original apartment. One additional apartment apartment received some smoke and water damage and was deemed uninhabitable. Three adults and two children were displaced with the American Red Cross assisted them with temporary housing. The cause of the fire was determined to be arson with charges pending. Three engines, one ladder truck, a safety officer and one chief officer were on scene for two and one-half hours. The Danville Fire Department Fire Marshall's office is investigating the fire. No injuries were reported.
