The Danville Fire Department Responded to a reported structure fire at 138 College Ave at 10:38 pm tonight. Upon arrival crews found a two story residential structure heavily charged with smoke. Family members met fire personnel to report that everyone was out of the structure and that the fire was on the second floor in a bathroom. Crews made entry into the structure and up the stairs to find fire in a bathroom that extended into the attic. They were able to extinguish the fire and contain the extension of fire to a small place in the attic. No injuries were reported and the two adult occupants were displaced but are staying with family. Three engines, one ladder truck , a safety officer and a chief officer were on scene for an hour and a half. The fire marshals' office found the cause to be a malfunctioning electric motor. Danville Life Saving responded and assisted. Danville utilities responded to assist as well.
