Crews quickly confirmed that everyone was out of the structure. Crews were met with an extra task of getting hose lines to the structure due to the distance that the residence set from the street and the fact that it set on top of a steep hill. Crews made entry and worked for several hours extinguishing the fire that was in the attic as well as the walls on the second floor. Damage to the structure was extensive and one occupant was displaced. Crews were on the scene for a little over three hours. No injuries were reported, Five engines one ladder truck, two chief officers a safety officer, and the Fire Marshall responded. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
