Danville Fire Units were dispatched at 1:43pm for a reported dryer fire located at 1230 Aspen St. The first in arriving unit found smoke showing from the front door. First in crews from Ladder 1 entered the smoke filled home, found the fire, and promptly extinguished the flames. While Ladder 1 attacked the fire, Engine 1 crew members searched the home for any possible victims, none were found. There were no injuries to the residents and no injuries to any firefighters during this incident. The fire was contained to the room of origin with smoke damage throughout the home. Fire crews were on scene for approximately 2 hours. The DFD were assisted by the Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Police Department and Danville Utilities Department. The Fire Department responded with Engine 1, Ladder 1, Engine 2, Engine 5 and Engine 7, support vehicles Safety 1, Battalion 1, Fire Marshal 2, and Hazmat 2.
