The Danville Fire Department responded to 178 Marshall Terr. this morning at 0400 hours. Upon E3 arrival, heavy fire and smoke was located on the rear of the residence. Fire crews began suppression activities and entered the home to search for any occupants. The two occupants and one cat were located outside of the home and one occupant was treated and transported to the ER for further evaluation by the Danville Life Saving Crew. Fire crews extinguished the fire which caused heavy damage to the home. No other injuries were reported. Danville Fire Marshal's office arrived to investigate and determined the cause of the fire to be electrical. The DFD was assisted on scene by the Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Electric Dept., Danville Water & Gas Dept. The Red Cross was notified and responded to assist the homes occupants.
