On Friday November 29th, at 5:44 PM, the Danville Fire Department responded to 181 Kimberly Ave for a report of a structure fire. Engine 4 arrived on scene at 5:47 PM to find a house with heavy fire and smoke showing. Due to the amount of fire crews were unable to make entry to the house until the bulk of the fire was knocked down from the outside. Crews were able to quickly transition to an interior attack and search operations. Crews had the fire under control in about 20 minutes. There was heavy smoke and fire damage thorough out the house.
Danville Fire Department responded with 3 Engines, 1 Ladder, Battalion 1, and Safety 1putting 15 personnel on scene. Crews remained on scene for approximately 2 ½ hours. Danville Fire department was assisted by the Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville Police Department, Danville Electric Department and Water and Gas. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Danville Fire Marshal’s Office.
