At 8:10 am, the Danville Fire Department was dispatched to 510 Spring Street for a possible structure fire. The call originally was reported as a fire alarm by the fire alarm monitoring company. Almost simultaneously, a witness reported flames were visible. The call was dispatched to the fire department as a structure fire. Units arrived within two minutes. Ladder 1 arrived first and reported seeing smoke from the roof on a two story commercial business. The call was upgraded to a "working fire". Units were able to quickly extinguish the fire and confirmed that there were no occupants in the building. The Fire Marshal investigated and determined the fire was accidental. Units were on scene for approximately one hour.
