The Danville Police Department is investigating a homicide in the 100 block of Pineview Drive after officers found the body of a 78-year-old male inside a residence around 4 p.m. Friday, March 7.
Based on information provided to the Department, officers executed a search warrant for a Pineview Drive residence and inside located Arvel Shrewsbury dead.
Investigators located the suspect, Jeanette Perez Staton, 58, at another location in the city. Staton and Shrewsbury were known to each other.
Staton is charged with second degree murder.
