Golden Leaf Bistro, a full service restaurant and lounge, will open in the River District at 215 Craghead Street. William Gentry, owner, intends to bring a new dining experience to Downtown Danville.
Golden Leaf Bistro plans to offer lunch and dinner seven days per week, with seating for 140 people and private dining rooms to accommodate up to 16 people in privacy. The design for this establishment will bring new life to 10,000 square feet in the epicenter of the River District.
“It has taken a team effort to get us to this stage of development,” said Gentry. “We look forward to the opening of Golden Leaf Bistro in the summer of this year.”
According to Gentry, the restaurant and lounge will provide patrons with unique décor and experienced food service personnel. He sincerely appreciates his partners, the City of Danville, and those who have committed to provide the highest quality of food and service to the customers of the Golden Leaf Bistro.
“We are very excited about the addition of the Golden Leaf Bistro to the River District,” said Economic Development Project Manager Corrie Teague. “This facility will provide another option for fine dining in our city, and we believe that it meets a need for both social and business meals in a setting that will encourage further development in Danville.”
The River District consists of the central business district and historic tobacco warehouse district in Downtown Danville. Located in the heart of the city, the River District has successfully attracted businesses and increased employment since its inception.
