[ARCHIVED] Tickets remain available for next week’s Scotty McCreery concert

Scotty McCreery

Tickets remain available for the live concert featuring Scotty McCreery on Saturday, July 27, at the Carrington Pavilion, but few reserved seats are in that number. McCreery will headline the concert that also features opening acts Sara Haze and Victoria’s Ghost.

Danville Harvest Jubilee officials report that only 21 reserved seats remain for the concert, and all of these seats are singles. Obstructed views seats remain available. Danville Harvest Jubilee officials, however, advise concert-goers to check at the box office on the day of the show for release of reserved seats that are held for the use by the artists.

Reserved seats sold in advance of the concert are $37. Reserved obstructed view seats are $27 in advance. General admission tickets (lawn seating) are $22 in advance. Lawn chairs are permitted on the lawn.

All ticket prices increase $5 on the day of the show and at the gate. The ticket window will open at 2 p.m. at the Carrington Pavilion on the day of the show. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling (434) 793-4636, visiting the Danville Welcome Center or going online at www.danvilleharvestjubilee.org.

Credit cards are accepted. Concessions and beverages are available on site.

McCreery was the youngest male to win the popular reality show American Idol in 2011. His first studio album “Clear as Day” debuted at No. 1 and held the top spot on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart for six weeks. He won New Artist of the Year at both the 2011 American Country Awards and the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards.

The album is a collection of appealing songs with universal themes, whether they’re exploring topics such as girls, family dinners or the Bible. “I chose these songs because they mean a lot to me, but I think everybody can also relate to them,” McCreery says.

Haze is a singer-songwriter who in the summer of 2011 moved to Nashville. She signed a publishing deal with Universal Music and Paul Worley. She is currently writing and recording new music with Grammy-winning producer Paul Worley.

Victoria Ghost is a brother and sister duo that performs country/folk music with a hint of bluegrass. Shannon and Ashley Campbell have traveled the world extensively performing with their father, legendary performer Glen Campbell.

Gates open at 6 p.m. Sara Haze performs at 6:30 p.m., with Victoria Ghost at 7:30 p.m. and McCreery at 9 p.m.
