The children’s area at the main branch of the Danville Public Library is getting a facelift. Crews and library staff have cleared out the children's area on the top floor, packing up the books in hundreds of boxes.
The children's library will receive new flooring and a fresh coat of paint. A new television monitor will be installed, and the computer lab will get new desks.
The library director expects renovations to be complete at the end of the month.
The bottom floor of the library is still open.
The library hasn't undergone any major renovations since the 90s.
