Danville Utilities has restored electrical service to all but 200 of the customers served by the Westover substation. Power was restored by shifting the electrical load to other substations.
The customers remaining without power are located in the Jamerson Road area of Pittsylvania County. Those customers could be without power for another two to three hours.
A pole break knocked out two electrical feeders at 1:30 a.m. Monday. The feeders remain out of service. Customers whose electrical load has been shifted to other substations will experience a brief power outage when the load is shifted back to the Westover substation feeders.
