Danville Utilities is illuminating its electric substation on Bridge Street in the national colors of France. The special display will continue through the end of the month.
"The lights illuminating the substation were changed as a show of solidarity with the people of France," Deputy City Manager Ken Larking said Tuesday.
France’s national colors are blue, white and red. The French flag displays the colors in three vertical bands of equal width.
Normally, the substation is lit up in a uniform glow. Lighting for the substation was installed earlier this year as part of the River District Development Project.
