On Thursday, Jan. 14, the City of Danville will close both lanes of Lynn Street between Wilson Street and Newton Street to allow a contract crew to install electric distribution and communication conduits across Lynn Street
The lane closure will be in place from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Construction will resume on Friday, Jan. 15, but only one lane -- the eastbound lane -- of Lynn Street from Wilson Street to Newton Street will be closed. The lane closure will be in place from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Detour signs will be in place to redirect traffic. Motorists are urged to slow down when approaching this area and be alert to altered traffic patterns or consider an alternate route.
The installation of the conduits is part of a Danville Utilities project to move electrical and communication lines underground in the River District. Warrco Construction is the contractor.
