Danville Harvest Jubilee will conclude this year’s River District Fridays music series on Friday, Sept. 2, with Josh Phillips and his band performing what has been described as urban country with a hip hop delivery.
Phillips says his goal is to create music that offers something new. “This isn’t straight ahead country, or another southern rock sound. I don’t see myself blending in, when I want to create music that stands out.”
The concert will take place in the Community Market parking lot at 629 Craghead St. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and tickets cost $5 on site. Happy hour specials will run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. No outside food or beverages allowed.
The series is sponsored by Budweiser, Centra Medical Group, Danville Toyota, The Homeplace Vineyard, Texas Steakhouse and Saloon, URW Community Federal Credit Union, City of Danville and Big Sky Rents and Events. Golden Leaf Bistro is the official vendor of River District Fridays.
