School is out and Danville Parks and Recreation has your summer planned! Check out these great activities for you and your family to enjoy:
Music on Main – Start your weekend on Thursdays with this FREE series featuring everything from Elvis to Salsa. All concerts will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Main Street Plaza. In case of rain, shows will be moved to the Carrington Pavilion.

- June 22 – Wayne Euliss; Elvis Tribute
- July 13 – Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos; Zydeco Music
- July 27 – Cruize Control; Beach, Boogie and Blues
- August 10 – Wampler Brothers Band; Americana, Bluegrass and Assorted Acoustic Mayhem
- August 24 – West End Mambo; Salsa
Harvest Jubilee Concerts – The Danville Harvest Jubilee will present three concerts this summer. The Concert Series will include Old Dominion and Brothers Osborne; and as a special treat the Jubilee Board will host Sun of a Beach, a beach music party on the river. Play with Parks and Recreation – Take your K9 kids to Yappy Hour at 6 p.m. on June 2 at the Community Market and then your two-legged children to the Danville Children’s Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 19 at the Carrington. Both events are free! Speaking of free, this year’s July 4 Celebration will kick off at 6 p.m. at the Carrington Pavilion; fireworks to follow (weather permitting).
