Danville Parks and Recreation’s Music on Main concert series will continue in the River District at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, with Elvis tribute artist Wayne Euliss.
Euliss is a Guilford County, N.C., resident who has been bringing the late “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll” to life for some 10 years. He performs at many festivals and theaters. Clients say Euliss has a dead-on Elvis voice. He also bears an amazing likeness to Elvis in looks and stage presence. His costumes are custom made by B & K Costume Co. the official costume provider to Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc.
The concert is free and will be held at Main Street Plaza at 111 Main St. The public is encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
The music series is now in its fourth year and has continually brought music into Danville’s River District. The remaining shows in the series are:
- July 13; Mel Melton and the Wicked Mojos; Zydeco
- July 27; Cruize Control Band; Beach, Boogie and Blues
- Aug. 10; Wampler Brothers Band; Americana, Bluegrass and Acoustic Mayhem
- Aug. 24; West End Mambo; Salsa
All shows in the series are free and start at 6:30 p.m. In case of bad weather, concerts will be moved to Carrington Pavilion. For more information, call Danville Welcome Center at 434-793-4636.
