Community members can weigh in on the Police Department's performance in a public meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 9. The meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the City Council Chambers on the fourth floor of the Municipal Building. The building is located at 427 Patton St.
The meeting is being held as part of an assessment conducted by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). The review is a voluntary process. It will involve a multilayered analysis, which requires a critical review of information from both internal and external sources to identify future needs and direction.
The IACP is interested in hearing positive comments, as well as constructive feedback and suggestions to improve the department so that the Police Department can ensure it is meeting the needs of the community.
