The annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6, will feature activities at neighborhood sites across Danville. Opening ceremonies will be held at 5 p.m. at the Police Department’s Third Avenue Precinct.
The precinct is located at 128 Third Ave., adjacent the fire station in North Danville.
The Police Department coordinates the event to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police and community partnership. City Council members and city staff will attend the opening ceremonies and visit several other neighborhood sites.
The precinct is hosting the opening ceremony on behalf of the Reservoir Heights and Wendell Scott neighborhoods. The opening ceremonies will include games, music, and food. Activities at the precinct will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

- Cardinal Village – 6-8 p.m., Cardinal Place.
- Danville House – 4:45-6 p.m., 600 Main St., second floor.
- Grove Park/Southwyck Farms – 5:30-7:30 p.m., Grove Park picnic shelter.
- North Main Baptist Church – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., 2818 North Main St.
- Old West End – 7 p.m. to dusk, First Baptist Church, xxx Main St.
- Shadowood/Beverly Park/Robinwood – 6-8 p.m., Riceland St. block between Tamworth and Banister. The rain location is Grace Design Franklin Tpke.
- Miracles International Deliverance Ministry – 801 Kemper Road.
- Westmoreland – 5-7:30 p.m., Sycamore/Spruce.
- Windsor Crest – 6:30-7:30 p.m., Western Sizzlin
