The Danville Fire Department has implemented a new reporting process for third-party inspection companies that contract with local businesses to inspect, test, and maintain their fire protection systems.
The new process requires these licensed fire protection system contractors to submit their reports online to a web-based database called “The Compliance Engine.”
The Fire Department is committed to full compliance with our fire code,” Assistant Fire Marshal Richie Guill said Friday. “This web-based service will allow us to track and streamline the collection of compliance data within our jurisdiction.
“Property owners will receive timely proactive notifications of their testing requirements, and the Danville Fire Department will gain the ability to better mitigate the risk in our community by improving public safety to our citizens.”
Brycer LLC operates the database. Guill said licensed fire protection system contractors that have not registered with Brycer should do so at www.thecomplianceengine.com.
“We look forward to partnering with the service providers on this new venture that we believe will be beneficial to all in keeping our community safe,” Guill said.
