The Danville Children’s Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, at the Carrington Pavilion, 667 Craghead St. The event will feature a talent showcase, a splash zone, and children’s activities.
Admission is free. Food concessions and other vendor items will be available for purchase.
The 3EBoyz Talent Showcase will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on the Carrington Pavilion stage. Performers ages 17 and under will be showcasing their singing and dancing skills. The Edmunds Brothers will emcee the event.
The splash zone will feature tubing trips (weather permitting), a water slide, and the fun wagon. Bathing suits and appropriate swimwear are suggested. No flip-flops/open-toed shoes permitted.
The Scrap Exchange is bringing its Make-n-Take program back to the Children's Festival. This activity allows kids to use their imagination to create anything they can think of out of recycled materials
Other activities include Fish the Magish, Caricatures, Backyard Bass, the Danville Public Library's Lego competition, and Danville Otterbots activities.
