Parks and Recreation’s Music at the Market, a free summer concert series, continues Thursday, June 24, outside at the Community Market, with the jazz, soul and funk sound of the Lynchburg band Apple Butter Soul. The concert begins at 7 p.m.
The concert series is sponsored by Danville Harvest Jubilee and will continue each Thursday through July 29. The remaining shows in the series are:
- July 1 - West End Mambo - Sponsored by Cardiology Consultants
- July 8 - Wayne Euliss - Elvis Tribute
- July 15 - Sahara Reggae Band
- July 22 - Blue Drive Band
- July 29 - Island Music Trio
All shows start at 7 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Visitors are encouraged to visit the downtown restaurants and stores before or after the concert.
In case of rain, concerts will be moved inside the Community Market located at 629 Craghead St.
