The Danville Office of Economic Development & Tourism, the official destination marketing organization for the city of Danville and Pittsylvania County, hosted two community meetings last Thursday to share findings of the recent regional tourism branding survey. The meetings were held in two locations. The morning session was held at the Danville Science Center inside the River District, and the evening session was hosted by the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex in Chatham.
“We had great community participation,” Tourism Manager Lisa Meriwether said. “I’m glad to have had such a good turnout and to have had the chance to share the research as well as gather additional feedback from the community. This will help us chart our path forward as we develop our tourism master plan and marketing program.”
Eddy Alexander, the agency of record for the Danville Office of Economic Development & Tourism, conducted the research and presented the findings. The data collected will now be incorporated into the next phase of work, creating a visual identity toolkit for the new regional tourism brand. A research highlights deck with summary findings is available for public viewing at https://eddycommunications.egnyte.com/dl/1PNKgSVnke.
