The Danville Police Department made the following promotions during two ceremonies held last week.
Tim Jones was promoted on Dec. 28 to deputy chief from assistant chief following Chris Wiles’ promotion to chief of police earlier in the month. Steve Richardson was promoted from the rank of captain to assistant chief.
On Dec. 29, the following promotions took place:
- Paul Deel was promoted from the rank of lieutenant to captain.
- Richard Marlowe and Todd Shively were promoted from the rank of sergeant to lieutenant.
- Ian Smith and Larry Land were promoted from the rank of corporal to sergeant.
- Jordan Land and Carnell Jackson were promoted from officer to the rank of corporal.
