Danville Community College (DCC) and the City of Danville today announced the launch of a groundbreaking workforce development collaboration on the DCC campus. This innovative partnership, which aligns with Project Imagine’s new Virtual Workforce Readiness model, is set to create expanded opportunities for career development in the region.
Project Imagine, known for its efforts in reducing violence and providing at-risk youth with positive alternatives, developed a Virtual Workforce Readiness model that integrates technology and personalized training to prepare participants for the workforce of tomorrow. This collaboration with DCC leverages the college’s resources and expertise to further enhance the program’s impact, offering participants access to a range of educational and career-building opportunities.
Dr. Robert David, Violence Prevention Manager for the City of Danville, emphasized the importance of this collaboration in addressing community needs during his remarks at the event.
“This partnership between Project Imagine and Danville Community College expands our mission by providing opportunities for our youth to explore vocational programs in a safe, comfortable environment," said Dr. David.
