Taylor Roberts, Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator, said that this year’s show drew 11,220 people in 3,122 cars and 28 buses and donated $18,000 to the community through best in show prize money and gate worker donations.

Parks and Recreation Director Bill Sgrinia once again thanked the community and staff for their support during a busy holiday season.
“The hard work of so many people make this event possible every year,” Sgrinia said. “Without Parks and Recreation programming staff, maintenance, and the support of volunteers, we would not have the capacity to provide what has become a yearly tradition to so many families from Danville and the surrounding areas. It truly is a testament to the community and their willingness to give of their time and their selves.”
Roberts added that the Parks and Recreation staff is already meeting to discuss next year’s event and looks forward to 2025.
“Planning for the light show never stops,” she said. “We are always looking for bright ideas to make this event even better.
