Two people have been charged in the shooting on Cole Street last week that left one man dead and another wounded.
A grand jury convened this week and indicted 21-year-old Shounques Donrice Bynum for first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony (4 counts), malicious wounding, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, attempted robbery, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and discharging a firearm in a public place. Bynum is currently being held in the Danville City Jail under no bond.
In addition to the firearm and robbery offenses listed, the 17-year-old male who was taken into custody on May 3rd has been charged with capital murder in this incident. His name is being withheld at this time due to his age. He continues to be held in the W.W. Moore Jr. Detention Home. The man who survived the shooting is recovering from his injuries.
