Danville Police arrested a man following a late night shooting.
Shortly before midnight Danville Police responded to the 200 block of Northmont Blvd. for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, they spoke with a 32-year-old man and his 31-year-old sister who reported that they had an argument with the sister's boyfriend. He shot at them from his vehicle and fled the scene. No one was struck or injured.
An Officer spotted the suspect's vehicle after obtaining a tag from the victims and attempted to stop it. The driver disregarded the initial signal to stop and eventually stopped at his residence in the 200 block of Belaire Dr. He ran inside but after a short period of time came out and was quickly taken into custody.
The suspect was identified as 35-year-old George Lee Hairston III. He was charged with felony elude police, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and obstruction of justice. He is currently being held in the Danville City Jail under no bond.
