Danville Police charged the two people in connection with the fatal motorcycle crash Saturday on North Main Street in Danville.
Police charged the driver of the Chevrolet Camaro, 20-year-old Marco N. Escobal Rocha, with causing the death of another while engaging in a race. They charged his passenger Karissa A. Dix, age 20, with obstruction of justice. Escobal Rocha and Dix are both from Danville and they were released on recognized bonds.

04-25-2020 Danville man dies in a motorcycle crash
Bobby J. Collins, 30, of Danville, died Friday evening after the motorcycle he was driving crashed.
Witnesses told police that they saw a motorcycle and a Chevrolet Camaro traveling north on Piney Forest Road at a high rate of speed. The crash occurred at about 7:40 p.m. in the 3300 block of North Main Street near the Squire Armory. Evidence at the scene indicated the motorcycle hit a curb and the driver was ejected from the bike.
The Danville Lifesaving Crew transported Collins to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Police interviewed the occupants of the Chevrolet and at this time, the case is still under investigation. The body will be taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke for an autopsy.
