Last week a Danville grand jury indicted Quadarius D. Wilson, 28, formerly from Danville, with first-degree murder and related firearms offenses for shooting Fenquan Payne May 31, 2017.
The U.S. Marshals Service arrested Wilson Aug. 28 without incident at his residence in Roanoke County. Wilson is currently being held in the Danville City Jail without bond.
Payne and Wilson were acquaintances and the circumstances that lead to the killing are part of the investigative details that will be relevant in court.
Detectives continued to follow leads in this case and worked closely with the Commonwealth’s Attorney Office in order to bring these charges.

The Danville Police Department is currently investigating an apparent homicide in the 700 block of Bradley Road.
At approximately 6:45 p.m. EMS and Police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Bradley Road for a report of an unresponsive male suffering from apparent gunshot injuries. The investigation is active and ongoing. Additional information will be released when it is appropriate to do so.

The man found deceased on Bradley Road has been identified as 23-year-old Fenqwan Tayshon Payne. The investigation is active and ongoing.
