Last week a Danville grand jury indicted Shannon Price with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Christopher France. Price is still being held in the Danville City Jail without bond.

Christopher France died early Sunday morning, July 5, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after being stabbed by his girlfriend in Danville three weeks ago.
Danville Police responded to a 911 call for a stabbing victim in the 700 block of Melville Avenue at 1:00 a.m. June 13. Officers found Christopher France lying in the street and bleeding from an apparent stab wound to his arm. The Danville Lifesaving Crew transported France to Sovah Health – Danville and later transferred him to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Police arrested Shannon Price the night of June 13 for malicious wounding, and she remains in the Danville City Jail. Price, age 29, and France, age 27, recently moved to Danville and were in a long-term domestic relationship. Danville Police are now investigating this incident as a homicide.
