Investigators arrested 20-year-old Earlquan Williams and charged him with second-degree murder in connection to the death of Jaylan Fitzgerald.
A citizen called 911 Wednesday at about 3:15 p.m. on February 3 to report a man, later identified as Jaylan Fitzgerald, lying in the 600 block of Cabell Street a gunshot wound. Fitzgerald died at the scene.
Williams is the second man charged in connection to this homicide and investigators cannot rule out that third person was also involved. Police arrested Williams at his home in Danville on the afternoon of February 10 without incident.
Police are still searching for Avion Burton who is wanted for second-degree murder also charged with second-degree murder.
