Shortly after 9:00AM this morning, the Danville Police Department responded to a 911 call to the residence located at 10 Lands End. The 911 caller requested officers to conduct a well being check on the resident. Responding officers found the female resident unresponsive inside the residence. The Danville Life Savings Crew arrived and pronounced the victim non-viable. The victim was identified as 30-year-old Brittany Nicole Poole. Based on evidence at the scene, the Danville Police Department immediately began a homicide investigation.
The victim’s body will be transported to the Medical Examiner’s office in Roanoke for an autopsy and final determination of the cause of death.
The crime scene is being processed and the neighborhood canvassed throughout the day by police personnel.
