The Danville Police Department made the following promotions during two ceremonies held the week of December 28.
Tim Jones was promoted on December 28 to deputy chief from assistant chief following Chris Wiles’ promotion to Chief earlier in the month.
Steve Richardson was promoted from the rank of captain to assistant chief.
On December 29, the following promotions took place. Paul Deel was promoted from the rank of lieutenant to captain.
Richard Marlowe and Todd Shively were promoted from the rank of sergeant to lieutenant.
Ian Smith and Larry Land were promoted from the rank of corporal to sergeant.
Jordan Land and Carnell Jackson were promoted from officer to the rank of corporal.
