The Danville Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the 200 block of Audubon Drive Sunday, March 24.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the intersection of Audubon Drive and Apollo Avenue for reports of shots fired in the area. It was discovered that two apartments were struck by gunfire, one of which was occupied by four individuals. A 4-year-old child inside the apartment received a minor injury from debris caused by the gunfire entering the apartment. The other apartment was unoccupied.
A dark-colored vehicle with its lights off was observed driving away from the area.
The Department requests that anyone with cameras in the area where this occurred, please check for any images that may have captured the incident.
