8:30 a.m. 3/27/24 UPDATE: Apollo Adams is now in the Danville City Jail under no bond. Adams has been in the custody of the Danville Police Department since being apprehended shortly after officers responded to the call for a domestic disturbance.

ORIGINAL RELEASE: On Tuesday, March 26, at approximately 10:33 p.m., officers from the Danville Police Department responded to the 2200 block of Robinhood Drive for a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and located Krystale Stephens, 34 of Danville, suffering from severe blunt force injuries to her head. She was transported for medical treatment to Sovah Health Danville and was pronounced dead at 11:22 p.m.
During the course of the investigation, Apollo Adams, 34 of Danville, was developed as the suspect.
He was charged with second degree murder.
This case remains under investigation.
