The Danville Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in the 510 Spring St. at Culture Restaurant.
Upon arrival an adult male, later identified as Ammorrion R. Harris, 21, was found lying on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant suffering from gunshot wounds along with a large crowd.
Harris was transported from the scene by EMS to SOVAH Health Danville where he was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
Minutes after the initial call, three additional individuals showed up at SOVAH Health Danville with what was determined to be non-life threatening injuries from the gunfire that occurred on Spring St.
DPD is pursuing active leads in this incident.
