The Danville Police Department arrested Luevano Ranferi Campos, 30, and charged him with driving under the influence following an incident involving a train Sunday, Jan. 12.
Around 10:45 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to the railroad crossing at Edgewood Drive for a train that reportedly struck an unoccupied 2015 Ford Focus. No one was injured.
Officers found Campos at his nearby residence where he had walked after dialing 911 to report he got his vehicle stuck on the tracks.
This incident remains under investigation. Campos received a $1,500 bond.
The Danville Police Department reminds everyone to designate a driver before engaging in any activities involving alcohol.
